Bees such as Honeybees and Bumble Bees can live either above or below the ground in hives or nests in a variety of locations.
- Bees are amazing pollinators:

- How to bring a Bee back to life:
Should you ever find a bee that lying still, you can create mixture for the bee to drink. Simply mix a 50/50 water and white sugar, take a teaspoon full of the mixture to the bee to drink.
- We can all help to ‘Save the Bees’:
Weather a garden, balcony or windowsill, plant a variety of flowers so the bees can drink the lovely nectar between March and October
There are currently 35 species of bees under threat and this World Bee Day the aim is to inform and encourage the engagement of pollinator-friendly agricultural production.
Why we created our very own Bee Necklace
Murray and Me is a proud Manchester based business and we, like all Mancunians, love the Manchester Bee; so much so that we created our very own. Do you know what The Manchester Bee symbolises?
Manchester was at the heart of the Industrial Revolution. The Mancunian factories were sometimes referred to as beehives, because the workers within them were so busy and productive. The Manchester worker bee, as a symbol for the city, became increasingly popular throughout the Industrial Revolution. In 1842, the bee was first officially incorporated into the Manchester coat of arms. Now you can see the bee all over the city! For Mancunians, the worker bee represents both hard work and working together.
Bursting with personality, The Bee Pendant is characterful and charming, from the detailed hair on the body to the cute little antennae and eyes making it life like. The detailing means you can choose which way around you would like your pendant to face.
This World Bee Day we are offering an automatic 15% off all Murray and Me Bee necklaces from 10am Saturday 20th May until 11:59pm on Sunday 21st May 2023
